Concord, NH - The CM Lady Mustangs took on the NHTI Lynx in a doubleheader in Saturday's softball action. Cari Estes (Cornish, ME) took the mound for CM and struck out two in the first game. CM took the lead in the top of third inning, with Sadie Ellsworth (Greenwood, ME) and Taylor Fillion (Sabattus, ME) leading the charge for CM with a hit a piece. CM battled hard and kept NHTI's bats quiet until the 6th inning when Estes let up seven runs. NHTI went on to win the game 11-3.
In the second game, Estes took the mound again for CM. Freshman Sierra Patterson (Moultonborough, NH) led CM with two hits while Ellsworth, Allison Morse (Bridgton, ME), and Amber Pritchard (Winthrop, ME) all pitched in with a hit each. The Mustans fell short, losing 8-0.
With the two losses CM falls to 0-4 this fall, and will travel to rival Southern Maine Community College on Friday for a doubleheader.
