South Portland, ME - In a game that was not as close as the score indicates, the Mustangs led start to finish in a 65-57 win over the Seawolves. The win caps a second consecutive undefeated conference regular season for the Mustangs.

Winnie LaRochelle sparked the Mustangs scoring 14 points and hitting two major first half three pointers. Destiny Mora Lopez and Ella Lavigne each scored 12 points. Lavigne pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds to go along with 3 assists and 2 steals, while Mora Lopez recorded 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Molly Corbett and Chantel Ouellette each scored 8 points. Ouellette also collected 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals as well as her 25th charge of the season.

Aija Andrews lead Southern Maine Community College with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

According to Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, "It was a very weird game. We were on control for the entire forty minutes, but the scoreboard did necessarily tell the story. We are so proud of our veteran players. Destiny, Chantel, and Winnie were cool, calm, and collected. They were never rattled, and our other players just followed their lead."

With the win CM improves to 24-1 overall and finish their YSCC regular season games at a perfect 14-0. They are back in action on Saturday when they host Berkeley College (NY) at 1:00pm. The Mustangs will be recognizing their graduating players, Chantel Ouellette, Destiny Mora Lopez, Winnie LaRochelle, and Mikenzie Melendez.
