Ryan Palmer is a 2000 graduate of Mountain Valley High School where he a four year varsity player earning all-conference honors in his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years as an pitcher/2nd baseman. 

After high school he attended CM playing a total of three years for the Mustangs. He was first team all NNESSC IN 2000, and first team all NNESCC in 2003. 

Though covid derailed his coaching beginning, Palmer officially took the reins as CM's baseball coach in January 2020. 

Coach Palmer began his coaching career in 2007 at Mt Abram HS. He was MVC coach of the year in 2009. In 2011 he took over at Dirigo HS where he won back to back state championships in 2012 and 2013. In 10 years at Dirigo he was MVC coach of the year three times and compiled nearly 200 wins in 13 years as a high school head coach. 

Coach Palmer lives in Rumford with his wife Andrea, son Easton and step son Jacob. He is also employed as an account executive and sports broadcaster with Bennett Radio Group
