CMCC Athletics Welcome Page

Our mission is two-fold:

• We strive to recruit, retain and graduate the best student/athletes who fit into our system and place those athletes in the most successful position possible to learn and grow from our positive environment. We do so through our baseball, softball,  men's & women’ soccer, hockey,  bowling, cross country, Track, and men's & women's basketball. We are also supportive of new student-initiated sports opportunities.

• The second part of our mission, and equally important, is providing athletic training, education and opportunity to the greater community. We sponsor many events to facilitate this endeavor. We offer a variety of summer camp offerings customized for individuals and teams. Our coaches clinics involving many sports are known throughout New England and our various tournaments – AAU, high school, and college – are recognized as the most organized and successful events in the tournament world!

As we continue to go and grow, we will keep our focus on recruiting, retaining and graduating student-athletes who can represent themselves and the college in the community and progress with their academic degree in the field of their choice. Secondly, we will always be here for the community of learners who want the benefit of instruction and athletic opportunity from one of the most respected athletic departments in New England.

Both the College and the Athletic Department are committed to providing an environment that promotes gender equity. Women and men are encouraged to consider enrolling in programs typically considered non-traditional for their gender. Efforts are made to provide a supportive environment for those students who do. The College’s goal is to heighten public awareness of the occupational opportunities existing for both males and females.

The leadership of Central Maine Community College is committed to affirmative action and takes the position that students and employees must be proactive in assuring compliance with all federal and state laws, rules and regulations which exist regarding civil and human rights.

Central Maine Community College is an equal opportunity/affirmative action institution and employer.
