Mustangs Continue Strong Start

Litchfield, Maine- The Mustangs Golf Team continues their strong start with a second-place finish at the UMA Invitational at the Meadows Golf Club. With a team score of 328, the Mustangs have now finished first, third, and now second in the first three events of the season. Team medalist was Wyatt Smith who was the first Mustang player to break 80 in an event with a score of 79, Cam Knowles carded an 80, Mason Beaudoin with another strong performance with a score of 83, Will Fletcher with a score of 86, and Keegan Foreman carded a 104.

Another great finish for the Mustangs! Coach McKinnon shared, "I am so proud of our players for fighting today in tough cold conditions. I cannot say enough about Wyatt "champ" Smith. He has been working extremely hard on his game during the week and it showed today. What I love about this team is that they are warriors. If you look at our scores, our guys keep improving as the day goes on. They are never out of the fight which as a coach is all I can ask for. SMCC played another great event so hats off to them. We look forward to taking our lessons learned to practice this week."

The Mustangs travel to Cape Elizabeth next Sunday to take on SMCC at The Purpoodock Club, kicking off a two-week Southern Maine swing.
