Cape Elizabeth, Maine - The Mustangs Golf team finished fifth at the SMCC Invitational with a team score of 379 on Sunday. Team medalist was Cam Knowles with a score of 85, Mason Beaudoin carded a 94, Will Fletcher carded a 97, and both Sam Laroche and Wyatt Lufkin turned in 103. Cam Knowles added another top 10 finish to his resume finishing 7th at The Purpoodock Club.
Coach McKinnon said, "While we did not play our best on Sunday, our guys never gave up and competed all day. Cam Knowles with another impressive top 10 finish and he knows that he can still improve. Knowles, Fletcher, Laroche, Beaudoin, and Lufkin all worked hard this week in practice and their efforts will soon pay off in a tournament."
The Mustangs travel to Westbrook on Thursday for the University of Southern Maine Cup and then back to The Purpoodock Club for a rematch on Sunday.
