A two-man team event with the first six holes being best ball, the next six holes being a scramble format, and the final six holes being an alternate shot format, the Mustangs shot a team score of 250. Cam Knowles and Wyatt Smith tied for 6th place overall with a score of 74, Will Fletcher and Sam Laroche tied for 11th place overall with a score of 84, Keegan Foreman and Wyatt Lufkin placed 14th with a score of 92. Saint Joseph's College came in first place with a score of 215, followed by The University of Southern Maine with a score of 220, and The University of Maine at Farmington with a score of 242.

Coach McKinnon spoke about the experience, "Thank you to Coach Grant and the University of Southern Maine for inviting us to play in the USM Cup. It was special for me to bring the Mustangs to compete against my alma mater and Coach Grant. I am so proud of how our players competed in blustery conditions. This is the first time we have played in a NCAA event, and it gave our players great experience. Knowles and Smith worked well as a team; it was great to see them help each other. Fletcher and Laroche battled on the back nine turning in a lower score than the front. Lufkin hit an approach shot to about 30 feet on the18th hole and Foreman made the putt for birdie! We are improving each week and gaining needed tournament experience."

The Mustangs travel back to The Purpoodock Club for a rematch with SMCC on Sunday.
