Auburn, ME- Josh Cote shot 7-11 from the arc hitting for 23 points and hauled down 11 rebounds to lead the Mustangs to a 90-77 win over visiting Unity College.
A much improved Rams team entered Kirk Hall and wasn't at all intimidated by the home team. Unity got off to a fast start and led 17-8 early in the contest. The Rams shot an impressive 53% in the first half to trail 42-40 at the break.
CM continued to turn up the heat in the full court attempting to wear down the Rams. As the second half proceeded, the Mustangs put mini runs together to create a 6-10-point margin throughout the remainder of the contest.
Cote led the Mustangs with 23 points followed by Akeem Laurie and Sheveran Hardy each with 14 points. The win moves the Mustangs to a 4-1 record.
CM takes on Vermont Technical College on Sunday at 3pm in Kirk Hall.
