Auburn, ME – The opening round of the 24^th annual Can-Am basketball tournament began Saturday with a solid defensive performance by the home team as the Mustangs clipped the UNBSJ SeaWolves by a 92-58 score. 

Despite a sloppy first half, CM went to the locker room with a commanding 47-29 lead. Constant full court pressure for 20 minutes and using a multiple of players opened up a double-digit lead early in the game. The second half was more of the same as CM rotated players in and out of the line up.

Elijah Barbour led the Mustangs with 17 points in only 16 minutes of play. Josh Chery added 11 points. The squad takes on UPEI tomorrow at 10am in a morning contest.
