Women's Lacrosse Sweeps 7v7 Tournament

CM traveled to Dean College to play in a 7v7 tournament against the host school and Clark University.  The Mustangs ended their inaugural season with two wins against Clark University (14-7) and Dean College (12-4) to end their season with an overall record of 2-1. 

Emily Paione and Brianna Lajoie lead CM on 100% shooting in a 14-7 win against Clark University. Paione had 4 goals while securing 3 ground balls and 1 caused turn over. Lajoie had 3 goals, 1 caused turnover, 1 ground ball and 1 draw control. Other strong contributors were Amanda Hanning (3 goals, 1 caused turnover and 3 ground balls), Maggie McConkey (1 goal, 1 caused turnover and 2 ground balls) and Kara Karpowich with 3 ground balls.  Hope Doyle added two goals while Jenna Allen added one.  Alexis Delacruz notched an assist and ground ball.  Sara Duplisea had 4 saves in the win.

In the 12-4 win against Dean College, Hanning had an overall strong performance with 3 goals, 4 caused turn overs and 7 ground balls.  Paione again had 100% shooting with 4 goals while adding 3 caused turnovers and 3 ground balls.  Hannah Champagne had her first goal while adding a caused turn over and ground ball to the stats.  McConkey had 4 ground balls and notched another goal while fellow midfielder Doyle picked up 3 ground balls and a goal.  Also hitting the net for the Mustangs were Holly Herrick and Jenna Allen.  Allayna Nering had an all-round well played game, making necessary adjustments at half time and helping lead the offensive transition.  Duplisea picked up a ground ball and made 5 saves in goal.
