Dan Coleman played three seasons for the Mustangs from 1995 to 1998, on the baseball and men's basketball teams. On the diamond he was a shortstop and pitcher twice being named NNESCC All-Conference and picking up All-American honors. The Mechanic Falls, ME native led the team in batting average in 1996 on the way to a runner-up finish in the NNESCC championship game. On the hardwood, Coleman was a guard and forward who ended his career with 1,189 points, good enough for 11th place on the CMCC all-time scoring list.

He was named to the NNESCC All-Conference list in 1996 and was a MSCC All-Conference selection in 1997. He was named to the 1990-00 All-Decade team and returned to coach the baseball team in the fall of 2000, leading the Mustangs to four NNESCC titles in his five years, as well as a prestigious New England Club Baseball Association (NECBA) championship in 2003. Dan was inducted into the CMCC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
