Erica Brochu (Lewiston, ME) was on the mound again for CMCC and threw the complete game in the second tilt of the doubleheader vs. EMCC.  CM wasted no time in keeping the momentum from game 1.  Assistant captain, Kaisha Rodriguez (Lawrence, MA) and Brochu scored to give CM the lead 2-1 after the first.  Samantha Bruce (Madison, ME) and Taylor Pare (Bowdoinham, ME) each drove in a run.

The second inning was good to CM with an 8-run performance.  CM added 2 more runs in the third bringing the score to 12-1.  The game would end in the fifth inning by the mercy rule.

Offense was led by Laura Soohey (Bremen, ME) and Brochu going 3 for 4.  Assistant captain, Stephanie Mullins (East Baldwin, ME) was 2 for 2 with a walk.  Courtney Taylor (Madison, ME)  performed well batting 2 for 3.  CM bats struck hard and often to earn the win and a split on opening day.
