Despite a big day at the dish from Walter Morris, who finished 3-3, Mustangs lost 10-0 to Southern Maine Community College at SMCC on Wednesday.

Caleb Chambers got the win for Southern Maine Community College. He pitched five shutout innings. He struck out seven, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Southern Maine Community College was sparked by Joe Apon and Nate Boyle, who teamed up for six hits and six RBIs.

Alex Biron was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.

Southern Maine Community College tacked on another two runs in the third.  Caleb Burpee kicked things off with a single, bringing home Boyle. That was followed up by Shawn Murphy's single, scoring Burpee.

Southern Maine Community College added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A single by Boyle ignited the offense, bringing home Kyle Reichert. That was followed up by Apon's double, plating Nathaniel Cyr and Boyle.​
