Men's Lax Drops First Game

The Central Maine Community College Mustangs dropped their first ever Men's lacrosse game to the University of Maine Farmington Beavers 15 to 3 at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

The Beavers jumped out to an early 4 to 1 first quarter lead then extended the lead to 8 to 2 at the half. Farmington was led by Jay Linkletter and T.C. Peters with 4 goals apiece. Mike Foley and Brandon Melville added 3 goals apiece and Travis St.Pierre rounded out the UMF scoring with a goal.

Captain Erik Tiner led the Mustangs with 2 goals including the first ever in school history. Ryan Lemelin played a solid game with a goal and 6 ground balls. Brandon Tiner and Nick Record added assists.

Both goalies, CM's Alex Theriault and UMF's Ben Altimier played solid games.

UMF improves to 1-3 while the Mustangs drop to 0-1.

The Mustangs travel to Massachusetts this weekend for a pair of games vs. County College of Morris and Dean College.
