An undermanned Mustang squad battled Maine Maritime Academy along the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean in Castine, Maine. The host Mariners broke out to an early second quarter 4 – 1 lead and cruised to an 18 – 1 victory.

The Mustangs struggled to clear the ball and win groundballs all night which led to many transition opportunities for the Mariners. The Mariners also had many extra possesions winning 17 of 21 face-offs. Nick Snelling and Nick Betti each scored 3 goals while A.J. Larrabee, Bronson Guimond, Tim Grant and Thomas Houle all chipped in a pair. Evan Carrier, Wade Severance and Gabe Giguere rounded out the Mariner scoring with a goal apiece. Brandon Tiner scored the lone Mustang goal on a feed from Nick Record.

The Mustang close defense led by Abdi Osman, Tyler Haskell, Brandon Cote and David Trembley, played inspiring lacrosse, logging in overtime hours and caused many turnovers. Alex Theriault made a season high 15 saves in goal.
