A home game on the road? That was the question Friday night when CM traveled to Quinsigamond to play the Wyverns. With about 50 boisterous fans coming in from Rhode Island and other CM faithful who trekked to Worcester one would have thought CM was playing in cozy Kirk Hall!
CM bounced Quinsigamond Community College 69-59 in a physical contest. Defense was the key for the Mustangs. A strong performance from big James Pena off the bench (13pts, 7 rebs) and constant full court pressure, that came in wave after wave, was too much for the Wyverns to endure. The Mustangs used multiple players throughout the game, keeping fresh bodies on the floor utilizing full court pressure for forty minutes. Carrington Miller added 13 points and 7 rebounds as well.
CM is back in action tomorrow afternoon (12:00pm) when they host Holyoke CC in a non-conference matchup.
