Larochelle Appointed New Softball Coach

Auburn, ME – The Central Maine Community College Mustangs are proud to announce the appointment of Megan Larochelle as the new head coach of the softball team. Megan, a dedicated alumna of CM and former assistant coach under Bruce Robertson, brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her new role.

Having served as assistant coach under the tutelage of Coach Robertson, Megan Larochelle is no stranger to the Mustangs softball program. Her deep understanding of the team dynamics and her commitment to fostering athletic talent make her an excellent fit for the head coaching position.

Upon her appointment, Megan LaRochelle expressed her excitement, saying, "I am super excited to be stepping up and for the opportunity to coach the student athletes in this program. There is a lot of athletic talent that comes through CM athletics, so I am so grateful to be a small piece in such a great athletic program. I am looking forward to continuing to build this program from what it has already grown into and into the program I have seen it be and know it can be."

Athletic Director Dave Gonyea also shared his enthusiasm about the new appointment, stating, "We are delighted to have Coach Larochelle stepping up and filling the head coaching role. She was a key assistant for Coach Robertson and understands what it takes to win in the Yankee Conference. Her dedication and knowledge will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of our softball program."

Larochelle is familiar with CMCC, YSCC, and USCAA softball having once been the star pitcher for the Mustangs. Her former playing experience coupled with her recent assistant coach position for the Mustangs will serve as her foundation as she looks to continue to build the program.
