Women’s XC finishes 2nd place at Conference Championships

Both the Women and Men XC teams travelled to Hampshire College to compete in the YSCC championships.  Both races were very fast on a perfect day to run with every runner finding their season's best for the 6k and 8k.

Emily Quinnell (Auburn, ME) and Eve Schultz (Windham, ME) led the mustangs finishing 5th and 7th place, both earning YSCC all-conference honors while doing so.  Elise Schultz (Windham, ME) had very strong run finishing 9th with her fastest run of the year.  Kayla Blanchard (Auburn, ME) took 3 minutes off her previous best 6k as she came across the line with Abbey Therriault (Peru, ME) to clinch 2nd place for the Mustangs.

The Men were led by Joshua Bradford (Boylston, MA), 7th place and earning all conference honors.  Tristan Cormier (Bridgton, ME), Elijah Morgan (Auburn, ME), and Ben Simpson (Poland, ME) showed up in a big way shaving minutes off their seasons best.  Chris Roy (Plymouth, ME) and Mark Schepici (Boston, MA) continued the trend for personal bests.
