Carter & Johnson Lead Cross Country Team in Meet

Standish, ME - This past Saturday, October 10th, the Central Maine Mustangs Cross Country team traveled to St. Joseph's College in Standish, Maine, where they competed in the Runnin' Monks Invitational. CM had two runners in the women's 5 kilometer race and three in the men's 8 kilometer race.

Kristen Carter, of Lisbon, was CM's top female finisher, with a time of 25 minutes and 22 seconds. She finished in 71st place out of 129 runners. Lilly Linscott, of Auburn, ran 29 minutes and 5 seconds. She came in 117th place.

In the men's race, Isaac Johnson, of Winthrop, completed the course in 34 minutes and 40 seconds. Johnson was 86th. Mark Haskell, of Brunswick, finished in 96th place with a time of 36 minutes and 24 seconds. Rounding out CM's finishers was Cody Cunningham, of Rumford, in 103rd place. Cunningham ran 37 minutes and 49 seconds.

Central Maine will return to action on October 25th, where the team will travel to Paul Smith College in New York. There the Mustangs will compete in the Yankee Small Conference Championships and close out the fall cross country season.
