Litchfield, ME - The Mustangs Golf team continues their strong start with a first-place finish at the UMA Invitational at The Meadows Golf Club. With a team score of 336, the Mustangs have now finished third and first in the first two events of the season. Team medalist was Cam Knowles who carded an 80, Aiden Gonzalez shot 84, Brody Keefe shot 85, Hayden Christner shot 87, and Zach Mann came in with a 103.
Coach McKinnon said after the round, "Another great finish for the Mustangs! Winning a close match shows the importance of every shot. After the round, I commended our players for staying in the fight even though we did not have our "A" game. A strong back nine propelled us today. Never give up, on difficult days you grind even harder. I am proud of how they played today."
The Mustangs travel to Spring Meadows Golf Club on Thursday, September 21st, for another UMA invitational.
