Auburn, ME - Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach, Matt Buotte, is excited to announce the addition of talented forward Trevor Roche to it's hockey program for the 2018-2019 season. 

Roche, a Litchfield, NH native, comes to Auburn after two productive seasons for the Northern Cyclones of the USPHL. Despite missing 16 games to injury, the speedy forward still had an extremely productive campaign, amassing 4 goals and 14 assists.

"I am extremely excited to bring Trevor aboard," said head Coach Buotte. "The first thing that jumps out to me about his game is his skating. He has breakaway speed and is a humble, well-rounded individual. He fits in exactly to what we are trying to build here."

 In addition to being a solid contributor on the ice, Roche was also named an assistant captain for the Cyclones, who finished 4th in the USPHL's North Division in 2017-2018.

 "Trevor is quiet kid, but he leads by example," said Buotte. "He adds a lot of character to our locker room. I am absolutely thrilled that he has chosen to further his education at Central Maine."

Roche said that the atmosphere on campus was a driving factor in his decision to attend Central Maine.

 "I chose CM because I like that small community feel," he said. "[I like that] everyone can get to know each other and everyone seems so friendly."

 Off the ice, Roche will be studying criminal justice when classes resume in the fall.
