Mustangs Shutout by Seawolves

South Portland, ME - Men's Soccer traveled to Wainwright Sports Complex in South Portland to play the SMCC Seawolves Wednesday afternoon. SMCC's Kolin Wyman scored 30:52 into the match with a great individual effort and from a tough angle. CMCC battled back and striker Zachary Lowe had two good opportunities to close out the first half.

Both teams seemed to have some chances but at 66:56 CM defensive player Ibrahim Hussein was called for a hard challenge in the box resulting in a penalty kick and Hugues Bakunda scored to give SMCC a two goal lead.

Mustang's goalkeeper Austin Wing was busy with ten saves and collecting several long throw-ins and corner kicks. Seawolves goalkeeper Patrick Duddy saved all four shots on goal from CMCC to preserve the shutout.

With the loss the Mustangs fall to 1-3 overall.  Next up they will host UMaine-Machias on Friday in a 4:00pm match.
