Softball Adds to Recruiting Class

We are pleased to announce that Stephanie Mullins has committed to play softball at CM starting this fall.  Steph is a 2011 gradaute of Sacopee Valley High School, where in her final year batted .470 while knocking in 37 RBI's.  Mullins, a 4-year varsity player (3 at Lake Region High School, 1 at Sacopee Valley), was named to the 2011 Western Maine Conference All-Star Team, and recieved the team MVP award.

Stephanie on why she chose CM, "My brother Kyle Mullins attended CMCC in '09-'10 and was part of the Mustangs Baseball team.  In between visiting him at school and attending his games I made it my job to watch the softball games. From the moment they stepped out of the dugout and took the field, the ladies had positive attitudes and words of encouragement, and that's what excites me about this team.  It's great knowing that I'm joining a team of players who are welcoming and accepting.  I am excited to be part of the CM family.  I'm especially eager to show and share my passion for the game with the rest of my team.  CM has this incredible feel of home; the faculty, the buildings, and the sports teams.  The Mustangs have an incredibly strong and dynamic athletic programs and I'm excited to become part of it and to continue my softball career."

Softball Head Coach, Bill Brochu, on Stephanie, "We are very excited to welcome Stephanie to the team.  Her maturity, attitude and passion for the game will have an immediate impact for us.  We are excited that Stephanie has chosen to play ball at CM, like her brother also did.  She will provide depth, both offensively and defensively, as we build on last year's success.  We welcome Stephanie as a Lady Mustang and look forward to working with her at this next level."
