Softball With Another Addition

We are pleased to announce that Lewiston High School graduate, Michelle Malia, has committed to attend CM and play softball starting this fall.  Michelle was a 4-year varsity player at Lewiston, where she was a dynamic teammate, playing most of the positions while mainly pitching.

According to Michelle, "I started playing softball when I was 6 years old and have kept that passion ever since.  I am a versatile player having played every position except shortstop.  I pitched my entire Varsity career at Lewiston High School.  Offensively, my batting average was near the top my senior year.  I have worked and played for the CM coaches over the years and look forward to competing at the next level.  I am enrolled in liberal studies at CM and plan to go into the nursing program after.  CM will be a good fit for me to continue playing softball and further my education."

Softball Head Coach, Bill Brochu, on Michelle, "We are very familiar with Michelle having coached her for several years with ASA teams.  Her attitude, passion, and personality will have a positive impact for us.  We are excited that Michelle has chosen to attend CM and be part of the Mustang family.  She will provide the pitching depth that is so important for success.  Michelle is solid offensively and defensively as a utility player which will benefit the team.  We are excited to welcome Michelle as a Lady Mustang and look forward to working with her at the next level."
