Softball lands first commitment for 2018-19

Auburn, ME - Head Softball Coach, Bruce Robertson, is pleased to announce the first commitment for the 2018-19 season, Lewiston High School senior pitcher, Megan Theriault. Theriault is a four year Varsity starter recording Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference (KVAC) Second Team her Junior year and First Team her Sophomore year. Megan is also a member of the Latin Club and an honor student at Lewiston High School and will study General Studies this fall at CM.

According to Coach Robertson, "Megan is a great pickup for us. She is one of the top pitchers in the state, a solid defender and a very good hitter. She will help us big time going forward. Megan is a very strong and skilled and someone that we will build our recruiting and program around. We are always excited to recruit players from the surrounding communities as they generate a local buzz and excitement around our program."

Theriault who has played competitive summer softball for multiple years is now excited to bring her skill and knowledge of the game to CM. In regards to her commitment to CM, Theriault commented, "During my time on campus everyone was very helpful and friendly. I think that college softball will bring that commitment and competitiveness more out of me than my previous softball experiences. I also feel I will bring that hardworking but fun personality that a good teammate should bring."
