Jason went on to play one year of hockey at The New Hampton Prep School and two years of college hockey at State University of New York Oswego helping the Lakers to two SUNYAC playoff bids. After graduating from Oswego in 1998, Jason has been involved with youth, high school, and college hockey over the last 20 years as both a coach and referee. In the professional world, Jason has been employed by IBM for 19 years and is currently a Global Business Operations Manager. He attests much of his success to the many life-learning lessons he's experienced through playing and coaching Ice Hockey.

According to Coach Poulin, "Jason comes to us with an extensive background in playing and coaching and brings a lot of knowledge to the table. Jason has been a huge asset to hockey in this community over the last several years and I am looking forward to having the opportunity for these athletes to gain from his experience. He brings a ton of passion, enthusiasm, and intensity every day, which is crucial to not only being a successful coach, but mentor to our student athletes and guiding them in the right direction. When you look at building a program like Central Maine, you need to be surrounded with people like Jason. We are certainly lucky to have him."

Athletic Director, Dave Gonyea, chips in, "our hockey program got off to a great start last year and we return some of those key players. Our new coaching staff, led by Matt Poulin, will take us a step further this year. Adding Coach Rouleau to the staff is one more piece that completes the puzzle. His maturity and experience will balance Coach Poulin's skill set."
