We are pleased to announce that Preston Isner of Bealeton, VA has committed to play men's basketball for the Mustangs next season. Isner was a 1st Team All-District, 2nd Team All-Region, and Runner-Up Conference Player of the Year for Liberty High School. While at Liberty, where he was named the team MVP, Isner averaged 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game and helped lead his team to the Virginia State Tournament Semi-Finals.
According to Preston, "I chose CM because I love the atmosphere. Everyone from the teachers to coaches to players has made me feel welcome from the second I arrived here. I like the way the men's basketball program is run," he said. "The community around the school seems very friendly and supportive. This is where I want to be."
Comments from Men's Basketball Coach, Dave Gonyea, "We are pleased Preston is joining the family! Not only is Preston a skilled player on the court, but he will add some character off the court. He comes from a very tight family structure which we think bodes well for his geographic transition into our close knit family structure at CM. In terms of basketball, he has a nice shot, good court vision, and plays well with others. I see him jumping in and competing for playing time from the get-go! I am pleased he has committed to us!"
