We are pleased to announce that Kazre Cummings has committed to play men's basketball for the Mustangs next season.  Kazre graduated from Hendricken High School in Warrick, Rhode Island in 2013.  He was named to the Rhode Island all division team; second team all-league and outstanding senior of basketball.  He was named defensive player of the year and athlete of the year at Hendricken High School.  He is also an outstanding football player and received his schools MVP in football and was named to the all-city team in football.  He was involved in the student council and served as volunteer project coordinator at Rhode Island Hospital.

According to Kazre, "I am committed to CM because I want to create a legacy of greatness, something about CM is special; here we want something else.  It is not just about me, it is for the sacrifice for you, which is the ultimate goal for us. I believe in being touched by people and a community, and that will carry on forever.  To be able and willing to go to a place of truly god's grace." 

Comments from Men's Basketball Coach, Dave Gonyea:  "This is a big day for our program.  Kazre is an 18 year old, 6'4", 220 pound emotional player in a man's body.  He is physically fit from head to toe and comes to CM with excellent credentials.  When Kazre visited and toured he made a lasting impression with all those he came into contact.  He has an outstanding work ethic and we have plans for him be involved with the greater college community.  As important, he has a very supportive, loving mother who just happens to be his number one fan!  This type of background fits in nicely with our family atmosphere.  Kazre will do good things at CM on and off the court!"
