In their first game as the #1 team in the country, the Lady Mustangs found themselves in a hostile environment against a scrappy UMaine-Machias team.  CM jumped out to an early double digit lead behind 16 first half points from Susie French.  Machias hung around, and CM went into the break up 11.

Machias opened the 2nd half on a 20-0 run to take a 9-point lead.  The Lady Mustangs responded with an 8-0 run of their own, and after trading baskets, went on an 11-2 run to take the lead for good.  Nohemy Aguila scored 7 points in less than a minute during the run and Maggie McConkey took and offensive foul that swung the momentum back to the Lady Mustangs for good.

Susie French led all scores with 26, followed by Aguila with 17.  Maggie Sabine finished with yet another double-double, 13 points and 13 rebounds.
