Auburn, ME - CM's depth and pressure was too much for Vermont Tech, as the Lady Mustangs coasted to a 97-32 win. The hosts outscored the Knights, 32-4 in the 1st quarter, and after a 19-15 2nd quarter, held VTC to just 13 2nd half points.
Kristen Huntress (Harrison, ME) led the way with a career-high 18 points, while gathering 5 steals and hitting three 3's. Alex Bessey (Jay, ME) also connect on 3 deep balls, and finished with 16 points and 3 steals. Jordyn Reynolds (Poland, ME) scored in double-figures again, hitting for 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) went for 10 points, and a game-high 9 rebounds.
The Lady Mustangs forced 44 Vermont Tech turnovers, while swiping 30 steals, and dishing out 29 assists on 37 made field goals.
Shannon Cookson led the Knights with a team-high 8 points.
Eraleena Gethers-Hairston finsihed with 8 points on 3-4 shooting, while Kristina Blais, Rylee Moore, and Natalie Thurber all scored 7 points a piece.
With the win CM improves to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Yankee Conference. The Lady Mustangs will be back in action on Wendesday, November 8th, when they travel to the Augusta Civic Center to take on the UMA Moose (6pm).
