Cross Country takes 3rd overall

Bangor, ME - The Mustangs' cross country team traveled to Saxl Park in Bangor on Saturday, September 14 to compete in the 2019 Husson Harrier Invitational against Husson University, the University of Maine at Farmington, Unity College and University of Maine at Augusta. The race had a great mix of rolling hills and fields with a little bit of mud along the way!

The Mustangs had a strong race pack with top finishes: 6-13-18-23-24-(26)-(31)-(41) giving a team pack score of 84, just 24 points shy of 2nd place overall.

First year, Maurice Beaulieu finished in the top 10 overall, in 6th place with a time of 28:13.3 on the 4.6 mile course. With only a few spots behind Maurice, first year Mason Darveau finished in 13th place with a time of 30:27.4.  First year Cam Chase made the top 25, finishing in 21st place with a time of 32:08.6.  Second year Justin Cabral finished in 31st place with a time of 34:19.5, just barely out sprinting teammate Micheal Baker with a time of 34:20.7 in 32nd place.  Captain, Levi Buck had a strong finish in 34th place with a time of 36:27.0. Finishing out the Mustang stampede was Cade Goulet in 39th place with a time of 42:03.5 and Mark McShane III finishing in 40th place with a time of 44:39.1.

The Mustangs are looking forward to their next race on Saturday, September 21 at Bowdoin Invitational.
