Mustangs make history at YSCC Cross Country Championship!

CONCORD, NH -  The Mustang Men made history this year at the 2019 Yankee Small Conference Championship meet placing 4th overall out of 8 teams total - the best in school history for the Cross Country program. Despite a few injuries on the team, the Mustangs fought hard and ran fast on a beautiful course held at NHTI. The Mustangs competed against Hampshire College, NHTI, Paul Smith's College, UMaine Augusta, UMaine Machias, Unity College and Vermont Tech.

First year runner, Maurice Bealieau became an YSCC All-Conference runner placing 3rd overall in the race with a time of 30:21. The top 7 All-Conference runners were recognized.

Following Maurice was first year teammate Mason Darveau who placed 17th overall with a time of 33:59, second year Justin Cabral who finished in 18th place with a time of 34:19 and Levi Buck in 29th place with a time of 35:33.  To finish out the pack time, Micheal Baker finished in 30th place with a time of 36:12, Cam Chase in 32nd with a time of 36:30, Cade Goulet in 39th place with a time of 41:48 and Mark McShane III with a time of 47:05.

"I am extremely proud of each runner this year and I am really excited about the future of our team. We had a few injuries that we dealt with this year at the Conference race which took us out of contention; however we were only 6 points away from 2nd place overall as a team, which is huge for us! Teams are really starting to turn their heads now when they see a red uniform nearby."

This concludes the season for the Men's Cross Country Season and we end on a high note.
