Auburn, ME - The last Wednesday afternoon in August saw fourteen veterans of the CM Men's Soccer return to Auburn in support of the 2017 team. The alumni team was made up of players from as far back as the 2009 season and had some great talent. The 2017 Mustangs have a deep pool to pull from with 23 rostered players. The alumni were quick to wipe off the rust and the first 15 minutes of action was relatively equal. The current team found the back of the net first and then again before Nick Conrad (2014) brought the alumni back in the game 2-1. The 2017's Fiston Mubalama scored three goals in a row before 2015 alumni Alex Lyons scored bringing the score to 5-2. Freshman Nate Foye added a superb header from sophomore Josh St. Pierre's corner kick and the game concluded 6-2. Before the game Coach Wallace said, "This is my favorite day of the year. It means so much to have this family, and the loyalty of these alum. .These guys are excited to come back, to give back, and to welcome this year's team. For our current team, this day allows us to make some corrections and identify some things to focus on in training, before we face a conference opponent."
