Auburn, ME - For the second hot, humid, sunny day in a row CMCC men's soccer hosted a conference opponent. This game saw lots of good possession in the first half and it wasn't until the 41-minute mark when defensive back Mohamed Hassan moved forward and played a ball to winger Abdullah Jashaami who was able to score. One minute and fourteen seconds later Jashaami struck again when Trystan Sanborn provided a nice pass to him on the ground. Score at the half was Mustangs 2, Knights 0.

Vermont Technical College was motivated to start the second half and Daniel Bordner was able to score nine minutes in to cut the Mustang lead to just one goal. The Knights were relentless but CM managed to hold them off for the remainder of the match. 2-1 Mustangs was the final.

Jacoby Robinson had seven saves for the day for CMCC while Alaga Saric had six and Jonathan Alvin had four for Vermont.

After the match Head Men's Soccer Coach, Bryan Wallace, commented, "Vermont Tech is too good of a team to try and defend a lead for 45 minutes. We're proud of how our guys possessed and played in the first half, but we came out flat for the second half and VTC clearly wanted it more, you could see they outworked us for nearly all of the second half. We got lucky to escape with the win."

The CM men are now 2-1 in conference play and travel to Unity College Wednesday.
