Mustangs Lose on the Road

So. Portland, ME - Wednesday's game against the Southern Maine Seawolves ended in a loss for the Mustangs, as they lost the lead late in an 8-1 defeat.  The game was tied at one with Southern Maine batting in the bottom of the fifth when there was an error, scoring one run.  The Seawolves scored one run when Edgar Montan singled with two outs in the second inning.  CM knotted the game up at one in the top of the third inning.  An error scored one run for the Mustangs.  Dylan Francoeur earned the win for Southern Maine. He pitched six innings, allowing one run, five hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Tanner Wheeler took the loss for the Mustangs. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs, seven hits, and striking out three.  Eric Hoogterp, Jordi Valls, Dakota Chipman, Matt Tremble, and Elijah Grizzard-Brown each collected one hit to lead Central Maine.

 Southern Maine collected 11 hits.  Sean Adams and Cody Bryant each collected multiple hits for the Seawolves.
