Baseball to play 23-game Fall Schedule

Auburn, ME - Head Baseball Coach, Ryan Yates, is pleased to announce a robust 23-game schedule for this fall.  The schedule, which is comprised of Yankee Conference foes, opponents from the NJCAA, and an NCAA DI club team, will be the longest and most challenging fall schedule for the baseball program in years.

According to Coach Yates, "After last year we showed we can compete in this league. This year we were looking to expand our competition and test ourselves. We were able to get an amazing fall schedule with a lot of games against good competition. Hopefully we will see what we are made of and be able to take our program up a few notches. Playing this many games will allow us to give more opportunities to players to allow them to grow and become better which in turn should raise the level of our whole team. We can't wait!"

The schedule includes 11 double-headers (NHTI twice, SMCC twice, CCRI twice, GBCC twice, UMPI, UNH club, and Holyoke CC).  Thirteen of the 23 games will be played in Auburn, with the 1st home contest coming in the form of a double-header vs. SMCC when the Mustangs host the Seawolves on September 20th.   CM will certainly see a tough start to the fall season as their 1st 8 contests are all on the road.

In addition to the 23-game schedule, CM will also play 4 exhibition games vs. Bridgton Academy (2 gome - 2 away).  The exhibition matchup between CM and Wolverines will kick-off the fall season on Tuesday, September 5th in Auburn.

Last fall, the Mustangs won the YSCC Fall Invitational Championship, and look to continue building off the success.
