Auburn, ME – The Central Maine Community College athletic department is pleased to announce Alex Biron, a senior from Poland, Maine has been selected a USCAA All-American by the association.
In a year where Alex has captured the YSCC Player of the Year honors, CM Male Athlete of the Year award, and Yankee Tournament All-Conference team selection, being named an All-American is the frosting on the cake.
He graduated from CM with his Building Construction degree and this year, completed a Business Management Certificate at CM; both with an impressive 3.5 GPA.
According to CM Athletic Director Dave Gonyea, "Alex has been the face of our baseball program for the past three years. A baseball junkie, he is the guy you want to tour new recruits. He understands and appreciates all that CM offers and has made the most out of his time here. A true class act!"
On the field, Alex batted .446 with a 594 slugging percentage and let the team with 12 doubles.
Alex is only the third baseball player in CM history to be named as an All-American.
He is the proud son of Don and Gina Biron of Poland.
