Biron Adds All-American Award to his Resume

Auburn, ME – The Central Maine Community College athletic department is pleased to announce Alex Biron, a senior from Poland, Maine has been selected a USCAA All-American by the association.

In a year where Alex has captured the YSCC Player of the Year honors, CM Male Athlete of the Year award, and Yankee Tournament All-Conference team selection, being named an All-American is the frosting on the cake.

He graduated from CM with his Building Construction degree and this year, completed a Business Management Certificate at CM; both with an impressive 3.5 GPA.

According to CM Athletic Director Dave Gonyea, "Alex has been the face of our baseball program for the past three years.  A baseball junkie, he is the guy you want to tour new recruits.  He understands and appreciates all that CM offers and has made the most out of his time here.  A true class act!"

On the field, Alex batted .446 with a 594 slugging percentage and let the team with 12 doubles.

Alex is only the third baseball player in CM history to be named as an All-American.

He is the proud son of Don and Gina Biron of Poland.
