Baseball swept in double-header

Auburn, ME - CM played host to rival Southern Maine CC on Thursday, falling in both games of their YSCC double-header. 

Game 1

SMCC connected on 3 homeruns, over-powering the Mustangs for the 7-1 win.  Jordi Valls connected on he loan extra base hit for the Mustangs with a double, while Eric Hoogterp drove in the only run.

SM's Amos Herrin was stellar on the mound pitching a complete game, allowing only 6 hits and q earned run.  Damien St. Pierre took the loss on the mound for the Mustangs. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 8 hits and 7 earned runs.

Sean Adams, Caleb Chamber, & Nathaniel Cyr all homered for the Seawolves.

Game 2

Despite our-hitting the visitors 11-8, the Mustangs could not withstand SMCC's late flurry, falling 9-5.

Jordi Valls went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI, while Eric Hoogterp, Alex Biron, and Zachary Mann each had 2 hits.  Biron connected on a double, while Mann drove in 2 runs.

Dylan Francoeur drove in 3 runs and Amos Herrin drove in 2 for the Seawolves.

With the losses, CM dropped to 2-8 on the year, but will be back in action this weekend when they host Great Bay CC for Saturday double-header and CCRI for a Sunday double-header.
