The Lady Mustangs play back-to-back YSCC games this weekend, including their last conference home game of the semester.

On Saturday, CM will travel to UMaine-Machias to take on the Lady Clippers in a 12:00pm game.  Currently Machias sit at 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the YSCC.  Last year the Mustangs and Clippers squared off twice, with CM winning both games (81-74 on 12/1/12 & 91-78 on 2/3/13).

On Sunday, the Lady Mustangs will host their final conference home game of the semester, when Hampshire College travels to town for a 1:00pm contest.  The Black Sheep are currently 0-4 overall.  Last year these two teams faced off in the YSCC Tournament Quarterfinals with CM winning, 80-20.  This game can be watched live at: http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/cmcc.portal

Currently, the Lady Mustangs are 9-1 overall and 5-0 in the YSCC.  CM is averaging a USCAA (national) and YSCC best 91.1 points per game, and has been led by a balanced attack.  Not a single Mustang is averaging over 23 minutes per game, and so far this season 10 different players have scored in double-figures.  Susie French (Portsmouth, NH) leads the way with 20.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.1 steals, and 4 assists per game while shooting a blistering 57% from the field.  Freshman Gabby Foy (Wilton, ME) is second on the team in scoring with 15.1 points and fellow freshman Samantha Bruce (Madison, ME) is third on the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game.  Laura Soohey (Bremen, ME) is the fourth Lady Mustangs averaging double-figures with 10.4 points per game.

After this weekend, CM will close the first semester with conference games on the road at SMCC and EMCC followed by a non-conference home matchup with Briarcliffe College (USCAA DI).
