Olivia McNally's jumper with 5.4 seconds left gave the University of Maine at Presque Isle a 59-58 win and ended Central Maine Community College's 18-game winning streak on Saturday.
UMPI rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit, thanks in large part to McNally's game-high 20 points. Amanda Hotham added 17 points for the Owls (16-6).
Gabby Foy sank five 3-pointers on her way to 19 points to lead the Mustangs (20-2). Laura Soohey controlled the paint with 11 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots while Samantha Bruce chipped in with 12 points. All-American, Susie French, was limited to just 10-minutes due to sickness.
The Lady Mustanga are back in action this Tuesday when they host UMaine-Augusta at 6:00pm.
