FARMINGTON, PA - Three members of the CMCC Women's Basketball Team were honored at the USCAA All-American Banquet this evening at the Nemacolin Woodland Resort in Farmington, PA.
Susie French (Greenland, NH) repeated as a USCAA DII First Team All-American. French, who was also named the Yankee Conference Player of the Year this season, leads the Lady Mustangs with 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.1 steals per game. Her steals per game is second in the USCAA and her shooting percentage (56%) ranks 3rd.
Freshman shooting guard, Gabby Foy (Wilton, ME), received USCAA DII Second Team All-American Honors. Foy, who has started every game this season for the Lady Mustangs, is 2nd in the USCAA in total 3-pointers made. On the season, Foy is averaging 15 points per game and has hit at least 4 3-pointers in 13 games this year.
Laura Soohey (Bremen, ME) was selected as a USCAA Honorable Mention All-American. Soohey is 5th in the USCAA in blocks per game (2.4) and was the certainly one of the most improved players in the Yankee Conference this season.
The Lady Mustangs have their last practice of the season tomorrow, and will play Warren Wilson College (Ashville, NC) in the first round of the USCAA DII National Tournament on Thursday (7:30pm).
