The Lady Mustangs have had quite the success recruiting in New Hampshire over the last several years, a trend that will continue this off-season. Kat Styles (Franklin, NH) has committed to play women's basketball for the Lady Mustangs next season. Styles, a standout forward at Franklin High School was selected as All-State Honorable Mention by the NHBCO this past season.
Styles had a tremendous senior season at Franklin High School, leading the Lady Tornadoes to the state quaterfinals and scoring over 350 points this season. A 3-sport athlete, Styles was named a Laconia Citizen Triple Threat, a Lakes Region All-Star, and was a participant in the NHBCO Granite Games.
"Kat has great athleticism and length which will benefit her on both sides of the floor next year. She has a potent offensive repertoire and can score from the block, mid-range, and well beyond the 3-point line. As she develops throughout the course of next season, it will be a lot of fun to watch her potential become a reality." said Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong.
Styles on why she chose CMCC, "When I visited, the school was just my style and I truly felt like it was a family environment. The girls on the team are very hardworking, but they are also a lot of fun and they have a fantastic relationship with their coach. I am really looking forward to my new basketball family."
"I am so excited to be a part of this college and basketball program and I look forward to representing it the best that I can. Although I loved playing basketball in high school, I am ready to take on the challenge of taking my game to the next level." said Styles.
"We are elated that Kat will be joining us for next season. She is a great young woman with a ton of potential. She'll be an immediate high-impact player for us and should elevate our program to the next level as we look to reload in our quest for a fourth straight Yankee Conference Championship." said Morong.
