Esports Valorant Team Goes for ECAC Championship

Auburn, ME – The CMCC Esports Valorant team faces St. Clair College for the ECAC Esports Group C Championship on Tuesday night at 8:00 pm. Mustangs Esports is looking for its first championship in program history, with its Valorant team boasting a 12-2 record over the course of the ECAC regular season, playoffs, and C-Val season.

The squad of Kason "Marauder" Dalton, Caden "Asylum" Bedney, Lillianna "Beanz" Noel, Brayden "Bumble" Hiltz, and Owen "Glakknar" Brousseau take on a Saints team based out of London, Ontario who advanced to the final as the #1 seed in group play.

"The team has worked hard to get to this point with a group that has four freshman and are all new to competing," said Esports Coordinator Andrew Garza. "It's an honor to play for the first championship in program history. It's also nice to face my rivals at St. Clair."

Garza was on the winning side of things against the Saints on three separate occasions in his Call of Duty days for St. Edward's University and Cumberland University, and hopes to see the Mustangs Esports Valorant team continue that trend.
