Auburn, ME – Mustangs Esports got the 2025 ECAC spring semester playoffs underway with Fabrice "whoisfabii01" Mvula representing Central Maine in the EA FC 25 Play-In Bracket Qualifier. Mvula went 2-2 in the double elimination event, falling in the semifinals.
In his first match of Group 1, Mvula faced "Matc1771" from Dallas Baptist University, losing the game 4-1 to drop into the loser's bracket with an uphill climb to reach the final. He responded well by eliminating "Emzuwu20" from St. Clair College, defeating the Saints representative 3-0.
Fisher College's "Langone" took a forfeit in the quarterfinals, sending Mvula on to the semis against Keiser University's "CleanupCrewAnt". In a close contest, the Seahawks took the match 1-0. Keiser University would eventually fall to Dallas Baptist 6-5 in the final.
Fabrice "whoisfabii01" sees his spring season come to a close with a 6-5 overall record between the regular season and playoffs.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate opens its postseason on Monday night in ECAC Division B. The Mustangs face Five Town College in the first round.
Valorant looks to defend its ECAC Division C crown with its revamped squad taking on Saint Joseph's University out of Philadelphia. The #10 seeded Mustangs get a first round bye and will play next Tuesday.
Call of Duty opens its postseason on Friday in the ECAC Division A bracket. The Mustangs are the #5 seed after finishing runner-up in their group. They'll open in the first round against Keiser University Lakeland. Before that, the COD squad plays for the College CoD League Northeast Atlantic conference championship on Wednesday night. CCL regional playoffs run from April 4th-6th.
