Men's Soccer Routs Northern Maine CC

The CMCC Men's Soccer Team continued to roll and increased their season record to 4-1, with a win against Northern Maine Community College Sunday afternoon in Auburn.

Brandon Morissette received a nice pass from Chase Cote and blasted a shot from the left side of the box to put the Mustangs up early in the match. The next 40 minutes saw chances from both teams but the score remained 1-0 at the half.

Roughly five minutes in the second half Alex Lyons managed a pass from Nicholas Record to score.  NMCC quickly responded with their own goal when Jacob Lassonde crossed a ball into Josh Allen.

The next twenty minutes belonged to CMCC, who's Dylan Mawhinney scored three times, with assists coming from Morissette and Record. Chase Cote had a superb individual effort to net a goal for the Mustangs with eleven minutes remaining.  Lyons again scored, this time from Morissette to close the game.

NMCC goalkeeper Lucas Flewelling had 10 saves while CMCC's Zachary Jackson had 9. Charles Epinette and Eric Martineau did well on the defensive line for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to South Portland to take on Southern Maine Community College.
