Auburn, ME - Head Softball Coach, Bruce Robertson, is pleased to announce they have signed another recruit for 2020 Season. Morgan Plourde, from Brunswick High School has committed to play for the Mustangs in the fall.  

Morgan stated "I chose CM because of the campus. It is a smaller school with a big school feel. Everything is so close together. The staff is very friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as I entered the campus which makes me feel I can get all the help I need to succeed at the college level."

Brunswick Coach, Hugh Dwyer, commented, "Morgan is a savvy softball player. She has an excellent understanding of the game, with an A - plus glove as a fielder, and her swing is mechanically sound. Morgan can play multiple positions including pitcher where she pitched in 6 games for us in her Junior year. She has good control as a pitcher. She batted .264 scored 11 runs and drove in 6. She led the team in walks batting leadoff. Her stats would be more favorable given support around her. Our team has been rebuilding since Morgan arrived. For instance, last season we started six freshmen in the competitive Class A North. She will make a great addition to CM."    

According to Mustangs Head Coach, Bruce Robertson, "We are thrilled to have Morgan coming to CM. She has a great glove while always presenting that positive attitude. Morgan has been playing competitive summer softball while being able to play multiple positions. She will be a great addition to our growing list of recruits for 2020"  

On her commitment to Central Maine, Morgan mentioned, "I think playing softball at CM will make me a better softball player. It will challenge me to push myself and make my passion for the sport stronger than it already is. I feel I can bring that positive encouragement and help my teammate during the ups and downs during a season.

Morgan competed in Varsity Softball and Swimming while attending Brunswick High School and will be in the Business Management Program at CM.
