Baseball Splits with Rival SMCC

Auburn, ME - In game one of a twin bill, CM jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to SMCC on Thursday.

SMCC took the lead in the sixth inning on a two-run single by Justin Leeman.

Mike Muise was hot from the plate for the Mustangs. Muise went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Kyle Parmley recorded the win for SMCC. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Kyle Parmley struck out five, walked one and gave up five hits.

SMCC was sparked by Leeman and Nathaniel Cyr, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.

Evan Roberts ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.
