Auburn, Me—Conference rival UMA came into Auburn seeking and upset and left with a much deserved 80-75 victory. Keith Chesley registered 28 points and Brandon Rogers netted 19 points to lead UMA.
The Mustangs applied full court pressure all game and maintained a small lead most of the contest. At the twelve minute mark in the second half, CM went on a run and led by 8 points and it looked like they were ready to take off. A Moose time-out stymied the run and allowed UMA back into the game. Missed free throw opportunities and costly turnovers in the last three minutes cost the Mustangs.
Carrington Miller (Bingham, ME) led CM with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The loss drops the Mustangs to 13-6 on the year.
The Mustangs are back in action Friday on the road against Holoyke Community College.
