Auburn, ME - Nick Bagley, a senior from Ellsworth High School and 2016 graduate has committed to play baseball and basketball at CM next year.
Nick responded to the questions below:
Why did you choose CM?
I chose CM because i liked the campus, coaching staff and professors- and I knew it was a good fit.
What did you like most about the campus?
I liked that the campus was small and very close knit.
How do you think playing college sports will differ from your previous experience?
I think college basketball will be a lot more physical and faster than it was in high school and expect baseball to be challenging as well.
What are you most looking forward to about attending and playing sports at CM?
I'm looking forward to new challenges and setting new goals.
What do you think you can bring to the team next year?
What I believe i can bring to the team next year is teamwork, shooting ability, and knowledge of the game. I am a pitcher in baseball.
According to CM Men's Basketball Coach Dave Gonyea, "It's no secret around CM I love shooters. After watching Nick play, it quickly became apparent he is a deadly shooter. Not only can he shoot it but he has college range and an attitude that he can make every shot. Off the court, he is a gentlemen and supported by excellent parents. When I recruit kids, the parents are part of the package and Nick's parents are the kind of people I want our kids to be around!!"
According to CM Baseball Coach Ryan Yates" Nick will be a great addition to our team and is slated to be in the starting rotation. He is another one of our great incoming kids who bring a winning attitude to the field. I am delighted he is becoming a Mustang!"
