Auburn, ME—Thanksgiving recess is both a gift and a curse to college players.  The Mustangs played their first game in two weeks today escaping Kirk Hall with a 70-62 win over Vermont Technical College.

CM jumped out to a 17-5 lead in the first six minutes of the game.  However, VTC went on a 15-3 run and tied the game up 20-20 halfway into the first half.  A Kaleb Benjamin (Belfast, ME) three and Carrington Miller (Bingham, ME) steal propelled the Mustangs to a tentative 5 point lead.  CM went into the locker room at halftime with a slight 37-34 edge.

The Mustangs maintained a 4-9 point lead most of the second half coming away with a hard earned victory.  Elijah Barbour (Reston, VA) led the Mustangs with 14 points.  Carrington Miller added 10 points and collected 12 rebounds.

CM entertains the University of Maine Machias tomorrow at 3pm in Kirk Hall
